Royal Inheritance Now 2 for 3 in NY

Two-Year-Old Auction Purchase ImageJune 1 – Sallusto & Albina Two-Year-Old purchase Royal Inheritance scored an impressive Allowance win at Belmont Park, her second win in three outings.

The three-year-old daughter of Regal Ransom posted a wire-to-wire victory on debut December 4 at Aqueduct and was second behind subsequent Bouwerie S. winner Holiday Disguise on May 7.

Sent off as the 21-10 favorite in the 6-furlong contest, the chestnut perched herself outside to stalk the pace from third through a :23 flat quarter. Moving sweetly to the fore passing a :46.72 half, the chalk quickly skipped clear by the three-sixteenths pole before holding sway for a two-length success over Empress Jingu.

Trained by David Cannizzo, Royal Inheritance has now earned $84,200 for owner Joseph Bulger. She was purchased by Sallusto & Albina at the 2016 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Old sale for $32,000.
